(((a little extra, i think…)))

thinking, sensing, perceiving — phenomena…
(going through the motions a bit — thumbing this on the phone rather than handwriting in the journal. wondering (again and again) what words are before they’re words (or thoughts before they’re thoughts if preferred). electrochemical activity in the nervous system (e.g. the observable neural activity that makes choice predictable in human studies)?
so what about when it’s not so obvious as this or that? what about when it’s just kinda out of nowhere? still just the consequence of electrochemical stimulation in response to various combinations and degrees of external and internal stimuli? and if that’s all it is, why such variance in the forms thinking takes? in other words, why does a cascade of various physiological signals result in one thought here and an entirely different thought over here (even from the same person)? how is context being altered from one to the other unless by some form of thinking already occurring prior to the appearance of any conscious thought, and what is that (made of)?
how has any of this become any of this?)

breathing…
noticing…
being…

open, aware, present…
whatever is…
nothing excluded…
here…
now…
this…

… an unconditional yes to experiencing…

💕

can the background/foundation/source of thinking ever be identified by or with thinking? or is that like an eye seeing itself, or a tooth biting itself, or a fingertip touching itself?
what remains between thoughts? on what “screen” or in what “space” are they playing?
consciousness? awareness? presence? beingness? isness? emptiness? nothingness? pure continuous physiological operation somehow being "experienced" as any or all of the above?
is there any experiential difference between thinking itself and the awareness/observation of it?
what about between “speaker” and “listener” of thinking?
where is the (silent) reading of these questions happening? from where are any possible answers coming and how (or by whom or what) are they being noticed?
what name or label (or sound or symbol) would you give this?

a little extra to a little extra...

so now a thought arises: there's an inclination to say, well that's me - in this case, Clint... but what is it actually, experientially even, if it's before and between any thought?
