recognizing a subtle difference between tasting an noticing flavors (using subjective definitions). every sip of coffee, for example, is tasted, but flavors are not always noticed, or at least are seem often over-looked in favor of attention being given to what-ever other mental activity is occurring (August’s bills, VA claim…

<helping Sherri with a garden water feature thing she’s put together, cleaning up cat breakfast mess, bathroom break (with some plunging ((😳😂))), and remembering to drink this coffee… actually, puting (two t’s? ((yep))) the remaining portion on the fridge for iced coffee later…>(()))

((…)) maybe i’ll feel a greater capacity for presence after getting some of this out, but some of what? stories about complex combinations of sensations almost (seemingly) preempt-ively determined uncomfortable/unpleasant/undesirable? and where/how is that happening? when or from what did this body learn “this feeling bad”?

thoughts, sensations, perceptions — phenomena…
(what sort of general outcomes are associated? physical danger? psychological (eve if such is even primary(()))? what (criteria) ((is)) determines((ing)) uncomfortable/unpleasant/undesirable and what (perceptions and levels of) established such criteria? what were the indications of “risk” or “danger” before i consciously aware of what either of those things actually are?)

((yep)))) meanings of those slashes (link? ((don’t feel like searching for the previous entry explaining such))))

being is enough…
(yes, i hear you “is it though?”)

Huang Po says “… way of the Buddhas flourishes in a mind utterly freed from conceptual thought processes, while discrimination between this and that gives birth to a legion of demons!”

is not every word uttered a discrimination (conceptualization) between itself and the relative silence/stillness from which it is arising? is language itself not built entirely of such discrimination/conceptualization? is not freedom from such just another goal/task/activity for a concept of self to pursue? even this(?(?))…
