(((yes and no…)))

<swimming in uncertainty…>

<two sips of actually-hot tea so far…>

(don’t forget the opening…)
thoughts, sensations, perceptions — phenomena…
breathe. notice. resting awareness…

(background-noise thinking, like quiet radio static (except for that and this obviously))

open, aware, present… whatever is happening… nothing excluded… here/now/this…
(all one and the same? should i say that?))

being is enough…
(still, is it though?)

… an unconditional yes to experiencing it/at all…
(enjoying this slightly updated version with the double-(maybe technically triple-)meaning of “it/at” in that it could be either/or, but could also be read as “enjoy-ing ((experiencing)) ‘it’ at all”)
(also that’s the interesting one… ‘yes’ to every-thing? really? Yes Man-style? or yes even to the experience of discomfort and disappointment and regret and guilt and whatever else comes along with saying ‘no’ sometimes…

<taking Sherri her phone>

… but how ((then)) to know when to say ‘no’? is it just arbitrary? coin-toss? wouldn’t it be some kind of ‘easier’ if there could be a simple system in place, some underlying set of criteria upon which such choices could be made consistently rather than randomly?
harmful, painful, unpleas-ant, uncomfortable, neutral, comfortable, pleasant, pleasurable, helpful…
doesn’t something like that pretty much do the trick?

(regardless,) what makes yes’s yes’s and no’s no’s?
perhaps again something as simple “enough ‘harm” is caused associated with pain and (possible) injury (of the body, even death of it possibly) or death.
fairly easy for anybody (any body, mind, mind-body, body-mind) to throw a ‘no’ over (possible) pain, injury, (and/)or death.
so then…

<<feeding Zeke an afternoon snack…>>

… unpleasant — not inherently all that bad ((or dangerous)), and yet pain, injury, and death also seem perhaps even intensely unpleasant, so there’s unpleasantness in all of it. does that mean unpleasantness could be a clue to the potential for pain, injury, (and/)or death?
seems a fairly reasonable theory at least.

now what about uncomfortable?
unpleasant? kinda. some-times very much so and…

<<remembering some particulars within earlier sections; checking to make sure they were transcribed accurately…>>

… sometimes kind of a rush!.
but still, uncomfortable can certainly and very often does seem unpleasant, and you know what else is unpleasant? pain (mostly (laughing emoji)((😆))), injury, and death. so then uncomfortable could be also be a clue to the unpleasantness of potential pain, injury, and death, right?
i mean, it doesn’t not make sense. and so far now we have a number of winners for the (mostly) ‘no’ category.

neutral… hmm…
there’s a sort of vastness… an everything-else-ness… a seemingly-not-worth-paying-giving-attention-to-but-nevertheless-present-ness… a sort of quiet-background-peacefulness to it…

<<bathroom trip, hip and low-back stretching, and a long breath-hold>>

is it simple enough now (to) simply to simply (return! ha ha!) say yes to anything/everything else that isn’t uncomfortable or neutral?
it would seem so…

but remember, sometimes uncomfortable is fun!
right, about that…
hmmm…
“well, i guess it could be explored on occasion.”
okay, so then what’s too far or two (too) much?
when does ‘yes’-uncomfrtable become ‘no’-uncomfortable?
how can that be distinguishable?
well, sometimes, ‘un-comfortable’ seems to result (in) reward (achievement, acceptance, ((growth)), or otherwise generally positive or ‘yes’ experiences.
yes, agreed…
but how to know when that will be the outcome?
part of the previously mentioned ((originally ‘described’ (which it wasn’t))) associated rush is actually not knowing (for certain), though, isn’t it?
isn’t it…
(of course)

(living now, then, in the uncertainty of uncom-fortable, unpleasant, painful… (harmful? death?))

eventually anyway
eventually any way
eventually

((not feelin’ that ending…))((🤔))
